A Founder Fueled by Purpose
Hunter Ziesing began racing bicycles in his early 40s, quickly establishing himself as a dominant force in Northern California masters racing. Over the years, he’s captured wins in most of the region’s major road events, earning a reputation for fierce competitiveness balanced by loyalty to his teammates and devotion to the sport.
Ziesing’s story, however, extends far beyond racing. After a successful career on Wall Street, he redirected his energy toward health, philanthropy, and purpose following the loss of his father and several close friends to cancer. His mission became clear: use cycling and wellness as platforms to make a difference.
He founded the Echelon Gran Fondo series, a national cycling tour sponsored by Hammer Nutrition, that raised millions of dollars for leading cancer centers and brought together icons like Greg LeMond and Lance Armstrong-era charities. Later, he created My Charity of Choice, a digital fundraising platform that partnered with the United Nations Foundation to support thousands of global nonprofits during #GivingTuesday.
Today, Ziesing continues to inspire through leadership—both as director of the Hammer Masters and through his advocacy for longevity, wellness, and healthy living.
