Does Amino Age have a flavor or taste?
When we taste tested Amino Age, we noted that it has a slightly sweet/sour taste⦠a bit more on the s-l-i-g-h-t-l-y sour side but not overpowering or unpleasant at all. The taste is subtle enough that no sweeteners were deemed necessary. Both taurine and NAC have a sour taste to them, while glycineāwhich is the amino acid with the highest amounts in a serving of Amino Ageāhas a sweet taste to it. Carnosine has no taste to it. The result is that the taste of glycine, taurine, and NAC nearly cancel each other out, leaving a very slight, but not unpleasant at all, taste.
How is Amino Age different from BCAA supplementation? Is it okay or beneficial to use both?
The three BCAA (leucine, isoleucine, valine), such as found in Endurance BCAA+, have primarily exercise performance-enhancing benefits. The body needs BCAA to satisfy a small percentage of its energy requirements during prolonged bouts of exercise, helping to protect against lean muscle tissue breakdown. BCAA supplementation has also been shown to decrease the perception of fatigue on both a mental and physiological basis.
Amino Age contains four different amino acids/amino acid compounds that provide a tremendously wide range of benefits, overwhelmingly so for many aspects of overall health, but they also have some benefits for athletic performance. Youāll find a list of these benefits in the INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN tab on the Amino Age website page, and also in the article at https://hammernutrition.com/
It is most certainly okay and beneficial to use both products.
Do any of the ingredients in Amino Age cause weight loss or weight gain?
All of the benefits of the four amino acids in Amino Age can be found in the INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN tab on the Amino Age website page, and also in the article at https://hammernutrition.com/

All of our products are designed to complement each other, and that's definitely the case with Amino Age and Mito Caps. There are different nutrients in each of the products, so when you take them both you're providing your body with a plethora of additional benefits (augmenting and complementing what you're receiving via Mito Caps and other Hammer Nutrition supplements), that willāin an even greater wayāpositively influence many aspects of overall health.

What product in the Hammer Nutrition line is the best for increasing nitric oxide production?
Our newest product, Amino Age, in addition to the plethora of benefits its four nutrients provides (see https://hammernutrition.com/
-
GLYCINE -- Glycine can increase nitric oxide (NO) production and improve its bioavailability. Glycine can enhance the synthesis of nitric oxide synthase (NOS), the enzyme responsible for producing NO, and reduce the harmful effects of free radicals and oxidative stress, which can impair NO production.
-
TAURINE -- Taurine can increase nitric oxide levels by promoting its production and improving its bioavailability. Specifically, taurine has been shown to improve endothelial function by increasing nitric oxide (NO) production and reducing endothelial dysfunction.
-
N-ACETYL CYSTEINE (NAC) -- N-acetylcysteine (NAC) can increase nitric oxide (NO) production and enhance its effects. It works by increasing the availability of l-arginine, a precursor for NO production, and by acting as an antioxidant that protects NO from being deactivated.
-
L-CARNOāSINE (aka CARNOSINE) -- Carnosine's ability to modulate NO production is often linked to its broader antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. By reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, carnosine can indirectly influence NO production, either by preventing the overproduction of NO due to stress or by promoting a more balanced NO system.
Can I mix Amino Age in a hot beverage like coffee?
Yes, Amino Age may be mixed in hot beverages. This is completely acceptable and should not have any negative effect whatsoever with the potency and stability of each of the four amino acids in the product.
Amino Age has a sulfur smell to it. Is this normal?
Yes, there is a sulfur smell to Amino Age, and it naturally occurs from the NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) component in the product. This smell is normal with NAC and is due to the presence of a thiol group, which is a sulfur-containing group, in the NAC molecule. To a much lesser degree, the taurine component in Amino Age also has a bit of a sulfur smell. The taste of Amino Age, however, is mild, courtesy of the glycine in the product. The majority of Amino Age formula is comprised of this particular amino acid, 6,000mg per scoop, and it has a naturally sweet taste to it. The result is that the taste of glycine, taurine, and NAC nearly cancel each other out, leaving a very slight, but not at all unpleasant taste.
Consume one or more servings daily after main workout or in the morning on non-workout days. Mix 1 scoop in 8-16 ounces of water, or added to your post workout Recoverite. Can also be combined with other supplements like Hammer Greens, Liquid EndurOmega, and Creatine Boost.
Glycine (6,000mg)
Glycine is an amino acid produced naturally by the body and found in protein-rich food. It is one of 20 aminos that make up proteins. It is also a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glycine is also involved in the synthesis of important compounds such as glutathione, an antioxidant.
⢠Glycine is a major component in collagen.
Taurine (4,000 mg)
The most abundant amino acid in the human body, Taurine is a naturally occurring sulfur-containing amino acid that can be produced by the body as well as found in food.
Special Note: With taurine having a wealth of athletic performance-enhancing benefits to go with its overall health benefits, it is perfectly acceptable to use Amino Age with our other taurine-containing products, Fully Charged and Cherry Bomb HEED.
N-Acetyl L-Cysteine/NAC (600mg)
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) is the bioactive form of the amino acid cysteine and is readily assimilated into the body from the intestine. supports the synthesis of the super antioxidant glutathione.
⢠Powerfully supports the bodyās detoxification process.
Special Note: Amino Age, with its glutathione-producing components, glycine and NAC, is a perfect complement to LSA Caps.
L-Carnosine (500mg)
L-Carnosine, also known simply as Carnosine, is a dipeptide composed of two amino acids: beta-alanine and L-histidine. It is found in high concentrations in the brain, muscle, and gastrointestinal tissues of humans and is present in all vertebrates.
⢠L-Carnosine possesses powerful antioxidant properties.
