Maintaining the health of your mitochondria, which are your cells' energy-producing "furnaces," is one of the most important things you can do to enhance athletic performance, enjoy better health, and potentially extend your life. One of the most undesirable effects of the aging process is what occurs when the mitochondria age and become dysfunctional.
Mitochondrial aging is a “double whammy” because the mitochondria not only become less efficient at producing energy, they also become more efficient in producing oxidants, which negatively interact with molecules to produce cell-damaging free radicals. Simply put, when the mitochondria within the cells lose their ability to produce energy and start producing more oxidants, they die, and eventually the cell also dies.
A severely negative “domino effect” ensues, one that not only causes athletic performance to dramatically decline, but also, more importantly, can lead to an increased risk of a host of age-related diseases such as cancer. It should come as no surprise that the “Mitochondrial Theory of Aging” is one of the most highly regarded and seriously taken theories regarding the decline of human health.
That’s precisely why Mito Caps exist. And it’s why I strongly believe that Mito Caps may very well be the most important product in the Hammer Nutrition line. The nutrients in Mito Caps—in particular, r-alpha lipoic acid and acetyl l-carnitine—give the mitochondria a “tune-up” of sorts, helping them function more efficiently, as they did when you were younger, and stay healthy.
The result? More energy, greater endurance, enhanced recovery, stronger immune system functioning, and more. Here’s what product formulator, Dr. Bill Misner, states:
“I have taken Mito Caps without any known side effects… except less fatigue, better endurance performance, and less required sleep. Endurance athletes should realize how incredibly important it is to affect mitochondria and that everything formulated in this compound remarkably and positively influences mitochondrial function.”
Here’s what others are saying about Mito Caps:
“I have been using Mito Caps daily and have definitely noticed increased energy and endurance.”
“This gives me more energy than I had in my 20's. I do not drink any caffeine and this makes me so alert. It also helped me shed the last bit of belly fat that would not go away.”
“This supplement helps with what is most important to living a longer and more energetic life. This is at the front of my list of supplements I take.”
“If I could recommend just one Hammer Supplement, it would be Mito Caps. Since I first started taking the caps, I've felt better. I'm an older athlete and compared to other folks my age, I'm younger! I'm giving credit to Mito Caps for this!”
SUMMARY
The importance of daily use of Mito Caps, and how it benefits you, is elegantly stated by Dr. Misner: “The longer you can stimulate the lifespan or health of the mitochondria, the longer you will live and the better you will perform in endurance events. The athlete who has healthy/efficient mitochondria is the athlete who performs at their best. Mito Caps is a product that I recommend be taken year-round.”
Important Note: You do not have to be an “athlete” to enjoy the benefits that Mito Caps provide. In fact, as significant as the athletic performance benefits are, the overall health and longevity benefits are even more pronounced. Mito Caps is beneficial for everyone!

Hello Mr. Grace, thank you for your excellent question. The short answer is no. It’s a great regimen with very little overlap. Hopefully, you also eat a good diet rich in protein, fat and whole foods. I would imagine that you’ve got good energy, endurance and recovery and family, friends, doctors etc. are all amazed by your vitality. Kudos to you, keep hammering! I’m a bit younger at almost 57, but in addition to what you are taking, my “daily” includes 1 Boron, 100mg CBD, 4 Tissue Rejuvenator, 2 Enduro D (October thru March) and intermittent usage of several others like Clear Day, Enduro C, Fully Charged and maybe a few others. BDF
The product usage guide says to take one per day. The instructions under usage state up to three per day. If you are using as a supplement and workout around an hour per day, 6x per week, which would be the correct usage? Thanks.

While there are certainly benefits to be enjoyed taking 1 capsule of Mito Caps daily, for optimal results and maximum benefits—for athletic performance and, especially, for overall health—up to 3 capsules daily in divided doses (e.g., 2 in the morning, 1 at lunchtime/early afternoon) is our recommendation. Please see the aritcle “What Makes Mito Caps So Essential” at https://hammernutrition.com/blogs/advanced-knowledge/what-makes-mito-caps-so-essential for more.
Hi Brian,
So there’s nothing redundant in Mito, race caps and the insurance caps? I also take Essential, digest, EndurOmega, digest caps, LSA, chitolean and photo lean when necessary and also tissue rejuvenator when needed. I workout anywhere between 2-3 hours a day and have 1-2 lighter days but I’m moving daily. I also take bcaa’s, L-Carnitine and a recover/rebuild powder from OneUp. It’s a lot to take daily, I want make sure it’s ok to…. Oh and anti-Fatigue caps as well before strenuous workouts, almost daily it’s taken.
Thanks,
Jamie

Hi Jamie, thank you for your follow up email. You are correct that there is almost no overlap from the products you listed. The Essential MG may not need to be taken daily because of the mag in the Premium Insurance Caps. Digest Caps also likely do not need to be taken every day, especially if you’ve been taking them daily for several months, and or also consume probiotics from other sources. BDF
I currently take the insurance caps as my daily. Would I stop taking those if I were to try these or take them daily?

Hi Jamie, Thank you for your question. The Premium Insurance Caps, Mito Caps and Race Caps Supreme compose the foundation of Daily Essentials. Ideally, you’d be consuming all of those, year round. BDF
