Will Turner

Ultra Triathlete - Hammering Since: 2010

Hammer Creation Story

I started using Hammer Products in 2010 as I prepared for my first Ironman. I was looking for a sports mix that was not too sweet, had the right ingredients for sustaining steady energy and that was loaded with the right calories. Perpetuem fit the bill and has been my go-to for the past 13 years. I always recommend it to other endurance athletes. Since then, I’ve discovered and become a big fan of Hammer Gels, Endurolytes Fizz, Endurolytes and Recoverite. As I continue to embark on bigger goals, I’m finding that Hammer has a wide range of nutrition options that seem tailored made for what my body needs. Products like Anti-Fatigue Caps, Endurance BCAA+ and Tissue Rejuvenator are now part of my training and race-day staples.

Will is swam 15.6 consecutive miles before transitioning to his bike for the 728-mile journey through the majestic Tetons, only to then begin a 170.4-mile battle on his feet to become the oldest known person in the world to complete this distance. Equivalent to 6.5 Ironman triathlons (for his 65th year) - Will did them continuously, using the same format of an ‘official’ ultra-triathlon race.
