Production Graphic Designer
Hammer Nutrition seeks a full-time Resident Graphic Designer to fill a highly important position within our Creative Department. You will collaborate with other colleagues and Founder to create effective and eye-catching designs and campaigns to spread the Hammer word. As a graphic designer, we want you to utilize your design passion to create beautiful images and compelling content while staying within the bounds of our Legacy Style and Brand Guidelines. Your duties will include developing graphics for digital and print platforms to enhance our accompanying text.
Responsibilities
- Create and design various materials for digital and print
- Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts according to our brand guidelines
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product
- Advise best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.
- Establish creative direction for the company within brand guidelines and owner’s priorities
- Manage multiple projects within design specifications, defining ownership and setting priorities
- QA design for errors
- Manage the product label process and communicate with off-site print manufacturers and domestic product manufacturers.
- Implement feedback and changes whenever possible.
- Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for the project as established by the company
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets
- Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, and Illustrator
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take constructive criticism
- Minimum of two years' experience in graphic design
- Attention to detail
- Portfolio of work with a wide range of creative projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
- Experience with both print and digital media
- Photo and Video editing experience a plus
- Must live in the Flathead Valley. Preference is given to returning locals
