Hi, Michelle McGee from the Sierra Nevada in sunny California. I am a 44yr old mountain momma who loves the outdoors. I have worked on ski and bike patrol since 2007. I started racing XC MTB in 2021 as an adventure to improve mental and physical health. My first year, I raced on a heavy trail bike with Gatorade in my hydration pack. I struggled with cramping, bonking, and lackluster race results. A friend suggested I try Hammer Nutrition products because they worked well for him. By 2023, I will have won the Sea Otter XC race for my age group by over 25 minutes. Then I won the USAC XC MTB nationals for my age group. I started racing as a pro in 2024 with decent results at Sea Otter and Downieville Classic. I continue to hone my bike handling skills and improve my fitness to compete against pro athletes young enough to be my daughters.
