Jacob Linley

I’m an avid outdoorsman who grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of New England, enjoying fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, and bouldering.  I was a traditional three-sport athlete in high school. I played baseball, basketball, and soccer.  My competitive spirit led me to discover stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) racing well after the end of my college baseball career.

The water has always called to me, whether it's paddling on local lakes and ponds or exploring the open ocean. In recent years, I’ve become an active participant in the New England SUP racing community, traveling to compete in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Maine, Vermont, as well as in South Carolina and North Carolina for larger races.

I’m passionate about sharing my love for stand-up paddleboarding with others and constantly pushing the limits of what’s possible on the water. One of my proudest moments was paddling alongside my best friend as he swam the entire length of Narragansett Bay RI in 2023, this was a 25 mile 15.5 hour adventure that tested our physical and mental strength.

Throughout these adventures, I’ve learned that the right preparation is key, often figuring out a mix of strategies that worked for me. That’s why I’m thrilled to be part of the Hammer Nutrition Team, as it gives me the tools to fuel my training, racing, and recovery more effectively. I've been using Recoverite 2.0 post-workout recovery drink, HEED electrolyte energy drink, and Hammer Gels for mid-race and training fuel, and I’m excited to collaborate with Hammer Nutrition to create a SUP-specific nutrition plan that will help me push my limits even further.

Here’s to going fast on the water, fueling properly, and feeling great!
