Ultra Running - Hammering Since: 2015

I started running marathons in 2013 and got introduced to trail running and ultras in 2015. In the fall of 2015 I also got introduced to Hammer Nutrition. I ran my first ultra (50k) in January of 2016 and used the Hammer gels, Heed and Sustained Energy. I instantly became a believer as I finished top 10 females for my first ultra. Same year in 2016 I qualified for Boston twice and also ran my first 50 miler and 100 miler in that order. In 2016 after my first 100 miler I also had my first podium at a 50 miler followed by top 5 finishes and/or podiums in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Hammer nutrition since the start of my ultra journey has been my only choice of nutrition. I won’t go without my favorites for long runs or races which are, HEED, Perpetuem or Sustained Energy and the anti-fatigue caps. I have a few on my list that I want to try for the first time this year. I’ve got it “dialed in” with my nutrition with more experience as I have already ran and finished all 5 hundred milers total, including some big races like UTMB (2019) and Western Sates 100 (2022). I recently switched from the gel packets to the flask and bottle option and it has been a great transition and game changer, especially on race day, with less to carry and minimal trash.  Because I was having such great success with racing and my nutrition, I decided to be part of the team back in 2020 and I could not be happier and pleased with the experience, the support, and the constant attention Hammer Nutrition gives their athletes. Thank you, Hammer Nutrition, for a superb company.  I’m so grateful to be part of the team.
